Shortly after leaving my job in 2018 I went to see ‘Christopher Robin’ in theaters. I was facing such a severe case of burnout that the film resonated with me in a way that I wasn’t expecting. I then learned that the Disney Store was selling plush inspired by the film’s design and went out of my way to track down a full set. While I collect too many things already for plush to make sense, I felt these were something special and beautiful that we could give to our future child(ren?) to enjoy when we’re ready to cross that bridge.
And then there is Totoro. He needs no excuse, he’s MF’N Totoro.
