We spent part of the day in Winnemac Park to celebrate our friend Carrie’s birthday from a responsible distance. Towards the end of our time there a flock of little leaguer baseball players and parents flooded the ballfields. It’s hard to believe that people are allowing this. While outdoor activities are safer, and baseball allows for good social distancing, there is no way these kids will maintain that the whole time. The misconception that kids can’t/won’t contract or transmit coronavirus is pervasive and I fear that it is doing real damage and extending the length of time we’re going to be living with this.
Needless to say, we got out of there.
