Pill Time

Marla was a very sick dog when we got her in 2014. She was dramatically underweight, she had several infections, and she had gastrointestinal issues for a long time that would lead to her throwing up frequently. Also, she would rapid-fire sneeze, and scratch all the time. She would chew on her legs until it made her fur patchy and lick her paws raw. Most of this has been taken care of by keeping her on a tightly controlled diet, spacing out when she eats and regular vet visits, however, she still has a very sensitive stomach and bad allergies. So every morning and every evening we give her half a Pepcid pill and half an allergy pill. Here is Beth Ann giving them to her before bed. Over time Marla has gotten better at swallowing the pills, probably because she knows that she’ll immediately get a treat afterward.
